Tonight, Rich suggested we celebrate my birthday a day early, since our weekend is going to be ridiculously busy. I think maybe he just wanted to eat cake. Either way, my awesome family got me some awesome projects and related gifts to aid me in my goal of "do something creative every weekend" - a New Year's resolution for 2016 that I have thus far stuck to.
Thank you, Rich, for the awesome gifts. :)
A Multimeter At Last
I've wanted one for a while now, but just never got around to picking one up. It should really help troubleshoot those small electronics that I have a hard time seeing.
Because I can never have enough spaceship! Ok, it's a satelite this time: Vanguard 1. You can read up on it here for a fun bit of US space race history.
Now that we have a growing collection of Arduino Uno laying around, thanks to Creation Crate, might as well permenantly turn one of them into something a little more solid than bits on a breadboard... lots of small compnents here. This one will be slow going so my eye can keep up.
Not A Project
And last, but not least, not a project or a tool, but still suitably nerdy, and promising to provide much fun, from Kiera, it's the On The Brink expansion for Pandemic. I'm looking forward to giving this a try.
